Magnesia carbon brick is a high melting point basic oxide magnesium oxide (melting point 2800 ° C) and a high melting point carbon material which is difficult to be infiltrated by slag as a raw material, and various non-oxide additives are added. A non-burning carbon composite refractory material formed by a combination of carbonaceous binders. Magnesia carbon brick is mainly used for the lining of converter, AC arc furnace, DC arc furnace, slag line of ladle and so on.


The magnesia carbon brick is made of dead burnt magnesia (or fused magnesia) and carbon material (mainly crystallized graphite), and is prepared by pressing the resin as a binder and heat-treating. In order to improve oxidation resistance, an antioxidant such as a metal is often added. Magnesia carbon bricks form a carbon skeleton when used at high temperatures, and since magnesium oxide and carbon do not have a mutual solubility relationship, the excellent fire resistance of the original components is retained. Carbon has good thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient and elastic coefficient, can effectively prevent high temperature spalling and slag penetration, and is less prone to structural spalling, which greatly changes the achilles heel of metamorphic structure spalling caused by slag penetration of magnesium refractories. In addition, the carbon does not wet the slag, and the corrosion resistance is also good. This series of characteristics of magnesia carbon brick makes it an ideal lining material for thermal shock stability, erosion resistance and flaking resistance. Magnesia carbon bricks are widely used and can be used in key parts of thermal equipment such as steelmaking converters, electric arc furnaces, steel drums, and furnace refining furnaces. The aluminum-magnesium carbon brick made of high-quality bauxite clinker and fused corundum and fused magnesia has small thermal conductivity, good heat preservation and proper residual expansion. It is used for ladle, lower wall, bottom and free. Good material for the department. The performance of magnesium aluminum carbon bricks is between magnesia carbon bricks and aluminum magnesia carbon bricks. Magnesia-calcium carbon bricks are made of high-quality magnesia, dolomite sand and synthetic magnesium dolomite sand, and are made of anhydrous resin as a binder. Good slag resistance, more stable under high temperature vacuum, can clean molten steel. Applicable to furnace outside refining equipment VOD furnace, AOD furnace and LF furnace.
